Women in Ministry...with no asterisks

Women Pastors

…with No Asterisks:

Book Introduction

What you’re about to read is a labor of love.  More than that, it’s a practice in obedience. It’s a response. But not the one you may have expected from a woman in full-time Pastoral ministry. Rather than simply being a response to the age-old critics of who I am and what I do (although, fear not ladies – that will most certainly come), it’s a response to the Holy Spirit who implored me to talk and write about this.

I fully intended this to be a blog, or more specifically, a short series of blogs. However, the more I wrote, the more I studied, but more importantly, the more I prayed and sought God, the more evident it became that this needed to be more than a series of online articles that could be attacked by every self-seeking naysayer who wanted to post a comment or criticism after simply reading the title or topic, but not taking the time to see what the author, or more importantly what the Lord actually had to say about the subject.

It needed to be a book that could last, be studied, consumed and then passed down from one truth seeking woman in ministry to the next. With that said, what you are about to read is the documentation of deep Biblical and historical research, by myself and others, both men and women as well as a dictation of countless conversations between me and God – you know – the one who actually calls people (both men AND women) to ministry.

If you’re reading this and you are a man, I hope you will approach this subject with an open mind and an open heart. Not to me per se, but to what God said originally in Scripture. Would you consider what HE has to say about this? Secondly, if you are a woman in ministry I want you to know, you are seen, you are heard, you are valuable and you are needed. And there is no asterisk on that statement!

So I say it again – you are seen, you are heard, you are valuable and you are needed. Thank you for taking this journey with me.

I will release the book this summer, 2024 and for those unable to buy a copy at Life Church Green Bay or The Exchange Coffee, Mercantile and Eatery in De Pere, WI, I will make it available on my website.
